Milan is a paradise for fashion and design lovers. Schools such us Marangoni, Naba and Domus are the best in the world for international professionals. This itinerary will take you to the discover the secrets of fashion and design through a workshop in Domus academy and the visits to famous designers, tailors and accessories experts around Lombardy. All in the magnificent setting of Italian culture and food.
Day 1 / MILAN
Arrival at Malpensa airport and private transfer to Milan city center.
Check-in at chosen hotel in the heart of the city, at the crossroads of culture, fashion, and design.
Welcome drinks and light dinner at the hotel premises. Brief description of the tour by the expert.
Overnight in Milan.
Day 2 / MILAN
Walking tour introduction to Milan. The guide will help you understand the structure of the city. Milan is a classic Italian City. Its current structure reflects the succession of time: Roman Ruins can be found in the city centre, from there it expanded to the Spanish walls, that you can still see. Only in the last century it became the city it is today. Skyscrapers were not allowed in Milan, where nothing had to be higher than the Madonna Statue situated on the top of the Duomo.
Day 3 / MILAN
Visit the Armani Sylos Collection in Zona Tortona and walk back to have lunch in the Navigli area and get to know all the local vintage shops.
This area is perfect to start to understand the connection between the city and its surroundings. The little river that divides the city was the way trade used to get in. Milan connection with the Alps, France, Switzerland are all part of the history that make the city so famous
Day 4 / COMO
After lunch take a bus that will take you to Lake Como. Ludovico il Moro invited the city’s inhabitants of the time to plant mulberry trees in their gardens so that they could grow more silkworms. Discover the secrets of textiles in a place that promotes initiatives, research and the study of artistic, cultural and technological interest in the fields of textile production and contemporary art: Fondazione Ratti. Enjoy a relaxing evening in Como, overlooking the lake.
Day 5 / MILAN
After lunch it is time to meet the big ones. An expert will accompany you to visit the most famous brands in the world. Walk along Montenapoleone, Via della Spiga to meet representatives from Armani, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Tods among others. Here is where all the most important brands in the world meet and show off the new collections. Do not forget the magnificent Palazzo Morando.
Made in Italy at its best, but what surprises about this area are the shop windows. The displays are pure art, no wonder Italy is one or the few places in the world where you can learn window dressing.
Day 6 / ARONA
Full day to relax and discover the beauty of Lake Maggiore. You will understand why the industrial families of Milan build they week ends villas on the lake, finding refreshing corners. It only takes one hour from Milan to get to this beautiful lake. You will visit the Borromeo Islands and stop for ice Cream in Stresa where you will meet producers of hand-made shoes. Stop in Arona for a bit shopping as a local.
Day 7 / MILAN
Meet the heir of the master of High Couture Pino Grasso. The staff will take you to a workshop to see how their employees make some of the most beautiful dresses in the world. Take a walk discovering the school, we can also arrange to meet Pino Grasso’s daughter Raffaella.
Day 8 / DEPARTURE
Check out and transfer to the airport.
